This course is designed for developers who want to improve their development skills in IBM® Web Content Manager. It describes application programming interfaces (APIs), and explains how to extend the core product to meet common functional requirements, such as extending the authoring interface, customizing workflows, and rendering. You examine techniques for enhancing the look and feel of a site, using personalization, and integrating content into IBM Web Content Manager. The course also describes the security model, common approaches to structuring the libraries, and how to integrate search engines.

  • Experience using Java™, JavaServer Pages (JSP), HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Attendance to Developing Websites with IBM Web content Management (WPL40) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in existing workflow and security practices
  • Installation and Administration of IBM WebSphere Portal 7.0 on Windows (WPL81G)
