This course is primarily intended for HP Services field engineers, call center personnel, Partner services engineers, and other field personnel who provide installation and/or operational assistance for HP StorageWorks SANs.
The SAN Infrastructure and Solutions training focuses on implementing HP StorageWorks storage area networks (SANs) according to HP guidelines. This course is designed to provide you with the foundation needed to design, implement, and service a high-availability heterogeneous SAN. SAN architecture is the overall design or structure of a storage area network solution. It includes one or more fabrics each of which has a topology. Fabric topology refers to the layout of switches that form a fabric. At the completion of this course, you should be able to implement a small heterogeneous HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel SAN using rules in the HP StorageWorks SAN Design Reference Guide. The SAN Design Reference Guide is available for download from: http://www.hp.com/go/sandesignguide.This implementation will include HP StorageWorks B-Series or C-Series switches, and an HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) storage subsystem.
